In 2003 she became a Nanny to my son Thomas who was named after her and that is when she amazed me the most, looking after me for 3 months as I recovered. From the first time she held Thomas in her arms until the end, they had a bond not even cancer could touch. Her pain seemed to disappear when they played or hugged. She would say that Thomas was ‘her Angel’.
